5 Great walks for energetic dogs 🐶 #NRFW2019

Put your dog’s extra energy to good use by going on a walk with your furry friends!

This year we’re supporting Keep the Tail Wagging’s second National Raw Feeding Week campaign. One of the best known benefits of raw feeding is that due to a reduced intake of chemicals and preservatives, you will have a calmer, happier dog that’s ready to take on the world.

With all that energy your dog is getting from their fresh food, what could be better than going on long walks with your best friend? Here are some of Poppy and her pal’s favourite dog-friendly spots:

1) Stourhead in Wiltshire, England

One of Poppy’s favourite local walks takes place at the National Trust’s Stourhead estate, where dogs are welcomed all year round. Within the estate, there are five great routes which take roughly around one to two hours to complete. Why not pack some of our TASTY Venison Bites as a treat on the walk for your dog too?

2) Monsal Trail, Peak District

This walk is pawfect for the train-spotting pooch as it’s not just all mud and sticks, it also allows you to go through huge real train tunnels! The former Midway Railway line is an 8 mile walk which showcases Peak District’s most impressive limestone dales. You wouldn’t want to miss the breathtaking views at the hidden delight of Water-cum-Jolly Dale.

3) Battersea Park in London

We always make a date to go for a walk at Battersea Park whenever we’re in London. It covers over 200 acres of open space and lakes, which makes it the perfect place to accompany your dog on a fun stroll. The Pear Tree Cafe will also supply a water bowl for you and your dog, so why not head over there for a quick rest and a bite to eat in the middle of your walk? Escaping the bustle of the city to find some tranquility in the park can be the best way to unwind after a busy week.

4) Lady Mary’s Walk in Crieff, Scotland

The beautiful Lady Mary’s Walk and Laggan Hill circular is a perfect route if your dog enjoys exploring open grounds and climbing up hills. This long walk also opens up to family-friendly places to eat, as well as play areas for the little ones!

5) Three Cliffs Bay Beach in Wales

If you’re looking for something a little different with a scenic beach route, then this Welsh beauty spot is perfect for the next adventure with your dog. The beach takes in sand dunes and the three famous limestone cliffs – a picturesque place to stop for a picnic with your family and your dogs. Perhaps let your best friend enjoy some of Poppy’s favourite TASTY Liver Bites to keep their energy levels up in between walks.

Join us in celebrating Raw Feeding Week by sharing some photos of you and your dog’s adventures on social media with the hashtag #PoppysPals, we would love to see. Enjoy exploring!

Much kindness,

Dylan and Poppy x
