That's why we only use fresh, tasty ingredients, like the ones you would buy for yourself. We work with a team of vets, nutritionists and farmers to provide your pet with a perfectly balanced bowl.

Ethically sourced meat, bone and offal
Our quality meat and offal comes from accredited farms, sourced locally where possible. We buy grass-fed beef and lamb, outdoor-reared pork, wild venison and boar. We also use free-range chicken, turkey and duck
We use bones in some of our recipes as they are a source of essential minerals such as calcium and phosphorous.
And in our Cookable Dog Food Range, we use crushed eggshell instead of bone, as it gives the essentials minerals your pet needs, making it suitable for serving raw or cooked
Lush Fresh Vegetables... but just for dogs
We only use locally grown vegetables such as curly kale, sweet potatoes, carrots and cauliflower in our meals. And when we say local, we see them growing in fields outside our Wiltshire HQ. Veg is a vital addition and gives fibre and a host of essential vitamins and minerals not present in meat.
For our Raw Cat Food, Purry Power, we do not include any vegetables as cats are obligate carnivores, and have no nutrtional need for them

Important Oils
With Poppy's Picnic you have no need to supplement a healthy dog or cat. Our foods come supercharged with great additions such as:
Coconut Oil which contains high levels of antioxidants
Flaxseed Oil known for being rich in omega-3, flaxseed oil can support heart function, calmer moods, skin and hair
Sesame Oil provides rich source of healthy polyunsaturated fats, and can help to retain flexibility within joints
Essential Herbs
Chamomile, also known as the ‘mother of the gut’, it contains calming qualities which help aid the digestive tract. It also can be settling at night because of its calming effects
A great aid to help the immune system, the herb Echinacea is incredibly effective
Milk Thistle can help support digestion, especially the absorption of dietary fats. It contains powerful antioxidants which can offer support to both liver and kidney functions
Parsley is a natural breath freshener which helps to aid overall gum and dental health... making it the perfect ingredient for all of our SUPER SPRINKLES meal toppers for both cats and dogs
Nettle supports the respiratory system, and can also aid the renal system.
Turmeric had been renowned for centuries for its digestive benefits and included in all our ranges

Hawthorn Berries have long been used as a heart tonic to aid circulation and can hekp support digestion
Rosehips are a great source of vitamin C, a natural support to the immune system. Packed with antioxidants and used as an aid within the joints
Seeds, Little Powerhouses
Celery Seeds are rich in calcium, zinc and other essential amino acids, helping joint health. Theyare rich in potassium which has a calming effect on the digestive system and can support renal health. This is why they're included in our MIGHTY MINCE range for dogs
Fennel Seeds can help maintain bone structure, improve strength, and support a healthy digestive tract. So good in fact, we add them to our CANINE CLEANERS which help your dogs teeth stay clean
Hemp Seeds can help maintain a soft and shiny skin and coat. And Sunflower Seeds are high in selenium and vitamin E
