1.13 Applicable Law

Consumers: governed by English law. Non-exclusive jurisdiction of England and Wales.
Businesses: governed by English law. Exclusive jurisdiction of England and Wales.

2. Consumer Terms and Conditions of Sale

2.1 Orders and Dispatch

Orders must be placed for the correct dispatch day.
Once packed, orders cannot be retrieved. We are not liable for delays by couriers or failed collections.

2.2 Delivery Terms

Couriers may not follow instructions to reschedule or reroute parcels. This is at the customer’s own risk.
We are not responsible for missed deliveries or if customers redirect parcels post-dispatch.
GPS/photo-confirmed deliveries are considered fulfilled.

2.3 Frozen and Dry Goods

Frozen food is non-returnable unless defective.
In warmer months, partial thawing in transit is expected. Refreezing at <4°C is safe.
Dry treats may be returned. Contact paws@poppyspicnic.co.uk. You are responsible for secure packaging and postage costs.

2.4 Cancellations and Subscriptions

Subscriptions include confirmation and reminders. Cancellations must be made before payment dispatch.
Forgotten or accidental subscriptions must be flagged before shipment to receive a refund.

2.5 Free Gifts and Promotions

Free gifts are subject to availability and are only sent to UK addresses.
If a subscription is cancelled and restarted, the free gift must be returned.
One promotional code may be used per 12 months. Misuse voids offers. If misapplied, we may cancel the order or recover the gift cost.

2.6 Belly Rubs Loyalty Scheme

Belly Rubs may be used on the current or most recent order within 3 months.
Not redeemable for cash.

2.7 Working Dog Products and VAT

Products labelled "For Working Dogs" are zero-rated for VAT. Buying them for pets may attract VAT at 20%.

2.8 Liability for Orders

We are not responsible for loss/damage where:
- You request delivery to be left unattended
- You fail to report issues within 4 hours
- You refuse a delivery without prior written approval
- You provide incorrect delivery details

2.9 Allergens

Our products may contain allergens. Check ingredients before feeding or handling.
We are not liable for allergic or adverse reactions unless caused by negligence.

3. Supplier Terms and Conditions

3.1 Scope These terms apply to all goods supplied to Four Legs are Better than Two Ltd, as stated in a Purchase Order. They supersede any prior agreements.

3.2 Quality and Suitability Supplied goods must:

Meet agreed specs
Be fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality
Be suitable for human consumption where relevant (e.g. meat, vegetables)

3.3 Delivery

Suppliers must deliver to the address in the Purchase Order.
Access must be arranged in advance unless stated otherwise.
Suppliers must comply with site rules and unload at the specified place.

3.4 Rejection and Recalls

We retain rights to reject goods even after inspection.
Rejected goods must be repaired, replaced, or refunded.
Suppliers must refund full RRP and cover any recall fees.

3.5 Labelling and Packaging

Goods must be clearly labelled and safely packaged.
Hazardous materials must be marked.
Packaging is non-returnable unless otherwise stated in advice notes.

3.6 Environmental Responsibility Suppliers confirm:

Minimal use of toxic and ozone-depleting substances
Use of recyclable and biodegradable packaging where possible

3.7 Indemnity and Insurance

Suppliers indemnify us against all losses or claims arising from breach or negligence.
Suppliers must maintain at least £10 million insurance cover and provide evidence on request.

3.8 Assignment and Subcontracting

No subcontracting or assignment without written consent.
Subcontracting does not absolve the supplier from obligations.
