Raw Pet Food Advice & Tips

Dogs fed on a raw food diet are generally leaner than kibble fed dogs simply because they are processing all the food they eat!

We recommend making a straight switch to raw. Feed your dog’s old food one evening and then Poppy’s Picnic in the morning. Most dogs will enjoy it from day one!

For us humans, Movember is all about raising awareness and funding for male health and prostate cancer through growing a moustache. But did you know that cancer is the cause of nearly 50% of disease-related pet deaths every year? This November, we want to shift the focus to dogs and highlight Canine Prostate Awareness Month especially with the common suffering of prostate disease in older male dogs. 

Our pets’ hearing is far more sensitive than our own. Those shrieking firecrackers can reach up to 150 decibels which is equivalent to a jumbo jet taking off just 25 meters away (enough to cause eardrum rupture). Movember is about raising much needed awareness of male health through growing a moustache. Poppy is very proud of her wily whiskers, she’s a breed with lots of visible facial fur with whiskers sprouting from her muzzle, upper lip, chin and eyebrows. But while I was twiddling her beard and moustache it got me thinking: if you snip a cat’s whiskers she’ll end up banging into a wall, but what happens when you trim a dogs?
