Best picnic spots in the UK. Poppy’s Pointers for National Picnic Week: 21st-30th June 2019
In celebration of National Picnic Week (21-30 June 2019), we’ve compiled a rundown of some of the very best picnic spots in the UK that are perfect for pet parents and their furry friends to make special memories together.
This National Trust spot is one of the nation’s favourites for a picnic out with the family and dogs. The garden is beautiful with fallen trees and stepping stones all over, and the kids can also play with the rope swings!
The Jurassic Coast is a gorgeous setting and popular for its natural beauty, but the Dancing Ledge is star of the show. It has been said that it got its name from the appearance waves "dancing" on the ledge. It’s the perfect walking route to take with your dog and explore what nature has to offer
For Londoners, Hampstead Heath is a hot spot and is busy all year round, especially when the sun is out! Why not make your way up to Parliament Hill view point to enjoy the lovely view of London’s skyline amongst the green trees and set up your picnic there?
Just at the bottom of the Black Cuillin mountains, The Fairy Ponds require around a 40 minute walk from the top to bottom, but we promise it will all be worth it in the end as you will get to see the crystal blue water of the river Brittle as you set your doggie picnic down and relax with your dog.
If you like the great outdoors and enjoy long walks, Roseberry Topping is made for you! After a hike up to the summit, you will get to admire the panoramic view of the North Yorkshire countryside and coastline.
